Privacy Policy

Cyno Bridge ("the app", "we", "us") is an unofficial, fan-made companion app for the game EVE Online. It lets you view your own EVE Online character information — skills, skill queue, wallet, clones, location, assets, market orders, and planetary industry — in one place. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles and how.

Short version: Cyno Bridge has no servers of its own. It communicates only with CCP Games' official EVE Online services, from your device, using a login you authorize. We do not operate a backend, we do not use analytics or advertising, and we never receive, store, or have access to your data.

01 Who we are

02 The data the app accesses

When you log in, you authenticate through CCP's official EVE Single Sign-On (SSO) on CCP's own web page. The app never sees or handles your EVE account password. You grant the app permission to read (never modify) the following information about the characters you add:

Character identity: character ID, name, and public portrait image.
Skills and the skill training queue.
Wallet: balance, journal, and transactions (in-game ISK — a virtual currency with no real-world monetary value).
Market orders (your open buy/sell orders).
Clones and implants.
Location, online status, and current ship.
Assets.
Planetary Interaction (colonies).

All of this is read-only. The app cannot perform any in-game action, make trades, spend ISK, or change anything on your account.

03 How the data is handled and stored

Authentication tokens. Logging in produces access and refresh tokens. These are stored only on your device, in the operating system's secure storage (Apple Keychain / Android Keystore). They are not transmitted to us or to any party other than CCP.
Your character data. Character information is fetched directly from CCP's servers to your device each time you use the app, and held only temporarily in memory to display it. It is not written to any server we control — we have none.
No developer servers. The app communicates solely between your device and CCP's official endpoints (login.eveonline.com, esi.evetech.net, images.evetech.net).
No analytics or tracking. The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking software of any kind. We do not profile you and we build no record of your activity.

04 Who your data is shared with

We do not share your data with anyone, because we never receive it. The only network communication the app performs is directly with CCP Games' EVE Online services, to authenticate you and to retrieve your own character data at your request. CCP's handling of your data is governed by CCP Games' own privacy policy. We do not sell data, we do not use it for advertising, and there are no other third-party recipients.

05 Data retention and deletion

Because we hold none of your data on any server, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. On your device:

Removing a character from the app deletes that character's stored tokens.
Logging out removes stored tokens.
Uninstalling the app removes all data the app stored on your device.

You can also revoke the app's access at any time from CCP's EVE Online account management / third-party application settings. For any question about this, contact info@benware.io.

06 Security

Tokens are stored in the device's hardware-backed secure storage (Keychain / Keystore). All communication with CCP's servers uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Authentication uses the OAuth 2.0 PKCE flow, so your password is entered only on CCP's own site and is never exposed to the app.

07 Children

Cyno Bridge is not directed at children. EVE Online is intended for players aged 16 and over per CCP's terms; you should not use this app unless you meet CCP's age requirements for an EVE Online account.

08 Permissions

The app requires network/internet access to communicate with CCP's servers. It does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files.

09 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
